Lynda is a burn survivor. She was burned to 80% of her body in 1983 while rescuing her young son. Lynda believes there is joy even in our times of sorrow...the trick is learning from the sorrow and living in the joy. Lynda thinks life is full of choices and we need to be happy with the ones we have made...she lives her life without regret and would not change a thing from her past.
Lynda spent many years travelling across Canada and talking to students about burn prevention and awareness. While talking to the high schools students in particular she emphasized the fact that she likes the way she looks...that her doctors did a great job. This positive outlook has translated into others being very comfortable in her presence.
